Mark Twain said “The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don’t want, drink what you don’t like, and do what you’d rather not.” In some respects this is so true. It is necessary to discipline ourselves at times to achieve good health. This applies to good mental health as well. My thoughts can be helpful or unhelpful to my mental health. Take one day and journal your thoughts and see how much of your day you spend thinking negative thoughts. This becomes a great opportunity to improve your emotional stability by changing your negative thoughts.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
